Dr. Francesco Cesareo, Assumption President

Dr. Cesareo is an American educator and historian. In 2007 he became the President of Assumption College in Worcester. He was raised in Queens, New York, and graduated from Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception in Douglaston. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Late Medieval/Early Modern European history from Fordham University. As a Fulbright Scholar he studied at the University of Rome and the Pontifical Gregorian University. Since 2013 he has been the chairman of the National Review Board for the Protection of Children and Young People.

Dr. Francesco will address the current challenges to the Church coming from the abuse of minors. His talk will focus on his role with the National Review Board as it applies nationwide. That Board sets policies that impact all dioceses in the U.S.
